I already miss some of the features on this phone.Motorola makes it easy with the standard USB hookup for charging, which makes it easy to grab almost any charger you already have around.I'd recommend this to anyone. I don't think it got the credit it deserved. The camera is nice for taking quick shots when you have nothing else available, though Verizon makes it hard to transfer them to your computer--you have to e-mail them. It has been a workhorse for me for over three years now, and it is just recently that I have had to start charging the battery 2x/week, with leaving it on constantly. The phone gets terrific reception, fabulous voice quality, and has a lot of neat personalizations. When I switched from T Mobile to Verizon d/t lousy coverage, I stuck with Motorola because I was very pleased with my last Motorola phone. I am not one to need the "latest gadgets". This one did not disappoint. The case is rubber-y, so it doesn't slide all over your console when you're driving, and the speakerphone is great. The only reason I traded up to an LG is for the better camera and to give this one to my Mom.
This is my first cell phone and after studying the features of the standard basic phones I chose this one.My chose was based on the appearance of it -after looking at all the phones at the verizon store this is the only one I was willing to put into my pocket and I was glad to do that.I liked the simple shape and the rubberized material that covers the exterior. If you are like me and don't like the shinny or plastic looking phones then check this one out.I mean it's like looking at the BMW Z4 roadster-I'm sure it's a great car but to my taste its over designed.just too much going on in a small area.Check out this phone if you like simple designs.
BLUETOOTH - have a bluetooth Motorola headpiece and the functionality is outstanding. If you need a phone to make and receive phone calls wherever you might be, look no further. If you are a Verizon customer and you don't need a smart phone, you should definitely consider this phone. Not this baby. Voice calling, activation, and termination are one touch simple. Had another Verizon phone, but it dropped calls every so often. You can do what you want with this phone quickly without having to go through any menus. It's great.
NO OPINION: CAMERA, MUSIC ETC. Wow, technology that works as it should. A pleasure. But it does the job. - I don't really use these features, so I can't review them.
STYLING - as plain as it is, the phone has alot of aesthetic appeal. all have nicely positioned dedicated hard buttons. Everywhere. But, like most of you, I own a separate camera, iPod etc., so I don't need my phone to do these things. Nice tactile sensation on rubber exterior. It is stylish and the call quality is top notch, as good as I've ever heard on a cell phone. Can't believe it.
Here's the review:PROS: CALL QUALITY - as good as, if not better than, a landline. BUILD QUALITY - feels good and solid in the hand. DEDICATED BUTTONS - this is the first phone that I owned where each commonly used function (speakerphone, volume, voice dialing etc). Best of luck on your shopping. A great choice for making phone calls. Had this phone about three months now. Phone does not slip out of your hand at all.
CONS: SCREEN - INTERIOR - The interior screen's resolution is pretty crappy and the good thing about it is that you don't look at it too much.
Awesome clarity and battery time. If you need a good phone- this is the one. Very reliable. No rarely used features to jack up the price.
What else ya need. Small size. Good simple phone. Feels solid. Good reception.
